Join the Cosplay for Science scientists at Los Angeles Comic Con 2022 to discover the many amazing ways science has inspired our favorite stories in pop culture and science fiction!

Panel schedule:

Saturday:
- 11:00am: Life in a Galaxy Far, Far Away
- 12:00pm: Cosplay for Science panel
- 4:00pm: Creating New Worlds: Planetary Science and Science Fiction

Sunday:
- 11:00am: Pokemon, Natural History, and You!
- 1:30pm: Life Finds a Way: Paleontology and Pop Culture

After our panels, come and learn about how life on Earth inspired aliens in a galaxy far, far away in our Star Wars inspired pop-up museum, “The Galactic Archive”! Find us in the south convention hall. You can also meet all of our guests scientists at the pop-up museum through the convention to ask them your questions about science and science fiction!

Join Cosplay for Science scientists and special guest scientist, Sophia Gad-Nasr (aka Astropartigirl), a specialist in cosmology and astroparticle theory, for this special watch-party and Q&A as we jump lightspeed into the science that inspired a galaxy far, far away.

UCR Geek On is a student-run event at the University of California, Riverside dedicated to showing off the vibrant geek culture both on and off-campus through panels, contests, and activities. Our goal is to create a free, one-day convention for all ages that encapsulates all geeky interests, from anime and comics to tabletop role-playing.
