Pop Paleo: A Cinematic History of Paleontology Panel

  • Ontario Convention Center (map)

We're doing our first comic con panel! Join our crew of Southern California paleontologists on a prehistoric journey through the highs (and extreme lows) of paleontology on film! From classics like The Valley of Gwangi to the newest Jurassic World, hold on to your butts – it’s going to be a wild (and scientific!) ride through the cinematic history of paleontology.

Featuring a panel of paleontologists from the Western Science Center and the Raymond M. Alf Museum of Paleontology.

Dr. Andrew McDonald, curator of Western Science Center
Dr. Andrew Farke, curator of the Alf Museum
Dr. Jessie Atterholt, Alf Museum research associate
Tara Lepore, Alf Museum research associate
Gabriel-Philip Santos, co-founder of Cosplay for Science and Alf Museum collections manager

Hosted by Brittney Stoneburg of the Western Science Center and co-founder of Cosplay for Science.

After the panel, meet all the paleontologists and ask them your questions at the Western Science Center booth (#131).

Pop Paleo: A Cinematic History of Paleontology is brought to you by the Western Science Center and Cosplay for Science.
